Warner Music Group Benelux has officially acquired Amsterdam-based independent record label Cloud 9 Recordings in an acquisition led by WMG Benelux’s President of Recorded Music & Publishing Niels Walboomers.
The move will see Cloud 9 Co-founder Raymond van Vliet remain as President of Cloud 9 Recordings. The company has been a prominent independent label in the Netherlands and has represented artists such as Claude, Jaap Reesema, Kris Kross Amsterdam, Snelle, and Turfy Gang.
Additionally, Cloud 9 owns the catalog of Antoon. The Cloud 9 team will relocate to The Amsterdam Music Harbour.
